How The Way I am Memorizing New Vocabularies pt. 1

 Hello! I got these vocabularies while I was doing 10 questions of TOEFL structure test. Here we go!!!

Writing new vocabularies from TOEFL 1989-08

1. Cubist                       : (Noun-count) a cubist is an artist who painted in the style of Cubism; an artist who adheres to the principles of cubism. (adj.) relating to or characteristic of cubism.

2. Simultaneous(ly)     : (adj/adv) happening or done at the same moment   

3. Affordable                : (adj) if something is affordable, most people have money to buy it; synonyms: low-cost/ low-priced

4. Yield(ed)                 : (V-I) admit defeat, allow other traffic to go first; (V-T) produce, give up control; (N-Count) a yield is the amount of food produced on an area of land or by a number of animals.

5. Charter(ed)              : (N) official statement of rights and freedoms, a formal document describing the rights, aims, or principles of an organization or group of people; (adj) hiring of buses, planes, etc.

6. Abundant(ly)          : (adj) more than enough, something that is abundant is present in large quantities ; (~ly: adv); (~dance: N) an abundance of something is a large quantity of it.

7. Sagebrush                : (N) small brush growing on dry land in western North America; any of several aromatic plants of the genus Artemisia (A. tridentata), a shrub of West North-America, having silver-green leaves and large clusters of small white flowers. Family Asteraceae.

 

MARIO

        In 2018, Mario started his job as a cubist. He graduated from California University with a Bachelor of Arts and was accepted on Picasso Cubist Company in France simultaneously. In his opinion, become a cubist is affordable on the range of his family. A child who was born in Kenya’s family, his father taught him to be a real person. He knew his family's conditions since primary school. His dad works as a postman, his mommy is a housewife, and has 2 young sisters who are now growing up and have been studying at primary and secondary school.

           After graduated from high school, he yielded to his condition because his Dad didn’t have enough money to send him to University. He was sad and crying over three nights. Even he understood, he doesn’t want to be left behind on Education. Afterward, his Mommy asked him to go to grandpa’s house in Arizona for helping his grandpa to help the yield. Mario agreed, then went to Texas. His grandpa has about 1 Ha corn land. August is a good time to gain the yield. Unfortunately, he always fixes it by himself. But not at that time when Mario came.

           They needed almost four days to crop the corn. One day after finished the yield, his grandpa offered Mario to take a sit for a while.

           “I heard from your mom that you are dying for enrolling in university.” Said his grandpa while seeing a group of sagebrush. Mario didn’t answer, he kept seeing his leg. “I have a friend who lives in California. We are still keeping in touch. You know he is a professor –“

           “Does it charter tractor?” asked Mario suddenly.

           “Yeah, that’s affordable.” Then quite. His grandpa was drinking water and Mario was tired to hear his grandpa's story simultaneously. A few seconds later, his grandpa continued the story. “my friend who I have told you –“

           “Is a professor.” Said Mario quickly. His grandpa was smiling and looking at his grandson simultaneously. “I am sorry, I am too tired after cropping more than one-hectare corn land. I supposed I could throw away my stress, but not. After that, I am just sitting here and listening to your old story simultaneously. That is bored; I am going to go home.”

           “Could you please full fill this offer from a person who has a short life?”

           “Oh, come on! You have a long life, you are 80 years old and cropping the corn every year by yourself.” Even Mario got emotional, luckily his grandpa still cooled down. And, Mario is typically the person who is easy to yield something. He took a seat and saw the sagebrush simultaneously.

           “Yes, he is a professor. I have called him last night. And he agrees to offer you a scholarship on Bachelor of Arts at California University. If you want to take it, I promise that I will give you a charter car during your study.”

           Mario kept quiet. He didn’t believe it. His grandpa's words sounded cliché. Mario started to understand, that day was his birthday. His grandpa was purposefully telling it to him for a birthday present.

           “That is abundant!” said Mario.

           In the beginning, art was the easy way to chase his dream. Mario forgot if he has an abundance of painting skills to take a scholarship. His grandpa realized it from his daily manner during rest after managed the yield. Mario often draws sagebrush and the yield with his brush or on the land. On the last day of cropping, his grandpa found Mario was fixing his paint on a small canvas. More and more about the charter tractor among an abundance of sagebrush.

           Mario decided to be a cubist because he believes that art could be painting on everything the shape. He chose the cube as a painting medium for making the story soul of his masterpiece.
